Agreeing to these terms

By signing in or paying for bangerhunt you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, don't use bangerhunt. You need to be at least 16 and able to enter a contract where you live.

Not affiliated with X

bangerhunt is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored or reviewed by X Corp. "X", "Twitter" and their logos are trademarks of X Corp, used here only to say which account the service works with. Your use of X stays governed by X's own terms and rules, and nothing on bangerhunt (a card, a streak, a "banger") says anything about how X ranks, verifies or treats your account.

Your account

• You sign in with your X account. You can only connect an account you own or are allowed to manage.
• We ask X for read-only access. We will never post, like, follow or send messages for you.
• Keep your X account secure: whoever can sign in to it can sign in to bangerhunt.
• You can disconnect bangerhunt from X, or delete your account from settings, at any time.

Subscription and payment

• bangerhunt costs $9 a month, plus any tax that applies; the first members pay a launch price that never goes up while they stay subscribed. There is no free tier or trial.
• Payments are processed by Polar, which acts as the merchant of record and seller of the subscription. Its terms also apply to your purchase.
• The subscription renews every month until you cancel. Cancel from the account menu; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
• Payments are non-refundable except where the law says otherwise or where a refund request is approved under Polar's refund policy. If something went wrong, write to us and we'll sort it out.
• If we change the price we'll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
• If a payment fails or your subscription ends, we stop checking X for new milestones. Your cards stay in your account.

What the cards are

Cards, rarities, streaks and collections are a game made from public numbers on your account. They are not money, tokens, NFTs or property. They have no cash value, can't be bought, sold, transferred or swapped, and we may rebalance, rename, add or retire cards as the game evolves. We try to count fairly, but numbers come from X and can be late, missing or wrong; we don't guarantee any card will unlock.

Fair play

Please don't:

• buy followers or engagement, use bots or coordinate fake activity to earn cards, or break X's rules in any other way to do it;
• connect someone else's account without permission, or pretend to be someone you're not;
• scrape bangerhunt, probe it for weaknesses, overload it or get around its limits or the paywall;
• use bangerhunt for anything illegal, or to harass anyone.

If you do, we may remove cards, suspend or close your account. If we close your account for no fault of yours, we'll refund the unused part of your current month.

Your content and ours

Your posts, name and profile picture stay yours. You let us store and display them, and make share images from them, only as needed to run bangerhunt, including on your public page while it's on. That permission ends when you delete your account, except for copies other people already shared.

The bangerhunt name, card designs, artwork and code belong to us. You can share images of your own cards anywhere; please don't copy the designs to make your own product.

Changes and availability

bangerhunt relies on the X API, which X can change, limit or withdraw at any time. We may change features, pause the service for maintenance, or shut it down. If we shut down for good we'll give you notice where we can and refund any unused part of your current month.

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you before the change applies. Using bangerhunt after that means you accept the new terms; if you don't, cancel or delete your account from settings.

Disclaimers

bangerhunt is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for any particular purpose, or that the numbers it shows are accurate. It is entertainment, not analytics advice.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data, or anything X or another provider does. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived, or liability that can't be limited by law.

Ending this agreement

You can stop at any time: cancel your subscription, disconnect bangerhunt in X or delete your account from settings. Deleting your account cancels your subscription straight away, not at the end of the period, and erases your cards for good. We can end it as described under fair play, or if we shut bangerhunt down. The parts of these terms that by their nature should survive (content rights, disclaimers, limits on liability) keep applying.
